§ COMPANY — INVESTORS
Patient capital. Strategic alignment.
AETHER is built for a 20-year horizon. We work with a small group of strategic backers who share that horizon and add operational value beyond the cheque.
Our approach
Foundational financial infrastructure takes longer to build than the average venture timeline. We have structured the company and the cap table to make patience possible: long-dated commitments, no pressure to engineer quarterly velocity, and a clear separation between product roadmap and fundraising cycles.
We raise from people who have built or operated regulated institutions, who understand the work, and who can open doors that money alone cannot.
What strategic alignment means here
- Operational involvement. Backers contribute beyond capital — typically through advisory time on regulatory strategy, partnership introductions and senior hiring.
- Long-dated capital. We do not optimise for round-to-round velocity. We optimise for time spent on the right problem.
- No exit pressure. The company can support an IPO, a strategic sale or independent operation. None of these is the goal; the network is.
- Disclosure to LPs. We are happy to provide standard reporting and to participate in LP meetings on request.
Working with AETHER
- Stage
- Selectively open to strategic capital. Allocations are limited and prioritised by fit.
- Profile we seek
- Strategic operators, banks, payment networks, sovereign and patient family capital. Diligent, quiet, long-term.
- Process
- Introduction through a credible mutual contact. Diligence runs in parallel with a working engagement on a specific market or product question.
- Reporting
- Quarterly operating letter, annual audited financials, ad-hoc updates on material regulatory and partnership milestones.
